How have you dealt with receiving a mental health diagnosis?
Q. I just got one yesterday and though I'd bet for years that I had it, getting that diagnosis professionally feels devastating: I tried for decades to be someone that I was not cut out to be, & I'll never be who I've worked to become! Please, how did you handle receiving a psychiatric diagnosis? Words of heartful wisdom? In my head I know the thing to do is deal with it, others have it worse, so work within my limitations to do the best I can; but it feels devasting.

A. You dont say what you were diagnosed with. First, the normal reaction is denial. But yes you have your own answer, deal with it and work within the limitations. Good luck. I wish you the best
